The work deals with a budgeting of non-profit-making organizations in Czech Republic. The teoretical part specifies particular types of activities and the recommendation for making and utilization of a budget. The analytical part applies the findings and follows them up at a particular non-profit-making organization. The conclusion of the work points to detected deficiencies and proposes measures for the solving.

Analysis and design of the use of the existing building in Brno

The thesis deals with the analysis and design of a new use of an existing building using the highest and best use method, also known as HABU. The first part focuses on the current state of knowledge and describes the issue in theoretical terms, mainly explaining concepts from the field of construction and real estate valuation. This chapter is supplemented by a research describing the use of the HABU method in the Czech Republic and abroad. In the following sections, the problem is formulated, the objectives of the solution are set and the procedures used to achieve them are also defined. In the design part, individual variants of possible use are presented, which are subjected to tests of the mentioned method. The option achieving the highest evaluation represents the highest and best use of the building.

Production efficiency of Miscanthus giganteus and possibilities of energy use

The thesis deals with renewable resources, biomass a its possible uses. The work is focused on Miscanthus sinensis. It described characteristics of plants, growing technology, harvesting and possible ways to use it - mainly burning. Attention is also focused on the yield potential of plants. The practical part of the thesis describes experiments with miscanthus at the experimental site in České Budějovice. There are reported experimental results and their evaluation and comparison with the literature.

Operating results and its transformation to taxe base

Operating results and its transformation to tax base is one of essential accounting operations in the end of the accounting period. Operating results is in economy seen as overall title for profit or loss, which a company records during a certain period. To be able to achieve the operating results, we have to go through a sequence of operations leading to the finishing of the accounting period. These operations are called Final accounts and we divide it further into advance working, closing of book, setting of the financial statement and follow-up work. The aim of my thesis is to characterize certain steps which lead in accounting to the assessment of the operating results.
